What it does

Two halves of one picture

Guessing what helps is the hard part. SkinTune records what you eat and how your skin looks, then lines the two up week by week.

01

AI photo analysis

Take a selfie and SkinTune marks visible breakouts, counts them by zone — forehead, cheeks, chin — and records redness and texture as your baseline. Every next photo is compared with your own history, never with anyone else’s.

  • Lighting and framing guides keep photos comparable
  • Every marker is editable — you always have the final say

02

A personalized meal plan

Balanced, skin-supportive eating built around your preferences, allergies and budget: low-glycaemic meals, omega-3 sources, vegetables and fibre — with a grocery list and simple recipes. Nothing is forbidden.

03

A trend, not a snapshot

One bad skin day tells you nothing. Your data is smoothed into a weekly line, so you can see the direction things are actually moving.

04

Habit patterns

Water, sleep, sugar, dairy, stress — SkinTune highlights which of your logged habits line up with calmer or busier skin weeks. Informational, never a verdict.

05

A private timeline

Compare any two days side by side. The gallery sits behind Face ID or a passcode, and photos are never published or used for advertising.

06

Gentle reminders

Photo time, meals, water and your evening routine — reminders you shape yourself, with streaks that do not shame you for a missed day.

07

Yours to take away

Export your history for a dermatologist appointment, or delete everything in one tap. No ads, no data selling.

The method

Three steps, about a minute a day

Start today, and by the end of the month you have a picture instead of a hunch.

  1. Step one

    Take your baseline photo

One selfie in good light. SkinTune marks what it sees, records your starting point and asks a few questions about your skin, routine and food preferences.

  2. Step two

    Follow your meal plan

Meals built around what you already like to eat, with a grocery list. Log food, water and sleep in a couple of taps.

  3. Step three

    Watch the two lines meet

Every week SkinTune puts your habits next to your skin trend and shows the patterns — information you can take to your dermatologist.

Voices

People who stopped guessing

I used to scroll through old photos trying to remember whether last month was better. Now I just look at the line.

The meal plan is the first one I could actually keep — it works with the food I already cook instead of banning half of it.
Priya M.Using SkinTune since winter
I brought three months of my own data to my dermatologist appointment. That conversation went very differently.

Questions

Frequently asked

How does the AI photo analysis work?

Take a selfie in the app and SkinTune’s vision model marks visible breakouts, counts them by facial zone and records redness and texture as a baseline. Each new photo is compared with your history, so you get a trend line instead of a single snapshot. You can correct or delete any marker yourself.

Is SkinTune a medical service?

No. SkinTune is not a medical service. It provides general wellness and informational features only and is not a substitute for professional medical or dermatological advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your skin and diet.

Will a meal plan clear my skin?

SkinTune cannot promise that, and neither should any app. Research on diet and acne is still limited and results differ from person to person. What SkinTune does is make your own data visible: it builds a balanced, skin-supportive plan and shows how your eating, sleep and skin move together over weeks, so you and your healthcare provider can see the picture.

What happens to my photos?

Your photos are yours. They are encrypted in transit and at rest, never sold or used for advertising, and never published anywhere. You can hide your gallery behind Face ID or a passcode, and delete individual photos or your entire history at any time.

Do I need to take a photo every day?

No. Two or three photos a week in similar lighting are enough for a useful trend, and SkinTune reminds you at the time of day you choose. Skipping days does not break your history.

Does SkinTune work for every skin tone?

The analysis is designed to work across skin tones and is evaluated on a diverse set of images, but no automated system is perfect. Every marker is editable, and you can report a bad result from inside the app so it can be reviewed.
